August 6, 2008

The Nautical Nudists Dive and Boating Club

 

Prior to the start of the club’s official meeting, President Claudia H. introduced Paul B. who gave an overview of the Panda organization.    Upcoming events for Panda include:

August 11 – Fundraiser at Benedetto’s  

August 20 – Meeting in Como Rec Hall (5:30 Potluck/6:00 Meeting)

August 30 – Bloodmobile Drive at local nudist clubs

President’s Report:

President Claudia H. called the meeting to order at 7:12 p.m. Also present were Treasurer Nellie M. and Secretary Jane G.  Vice-president Mike K. was absent.  There were 30 people present when the meeting began. 

Claudia welcomed everyone for coming and requested everyone introduce themselves.

 

Secretary’s Report:

Jane G. read the minutes from the July 2, 2008 meeting.   Bob made a motion to approve the minutes; seconded by Frank.  All approved

 

Treasurer’s Report

There was one check written this month for $211.60. There were deposits of $205.00. The balance is $1,372.02.  Ralph made a motion to approve the minutes; seconded by Frank.  All approved

 Old Business

Claudia reminded the group that we are guests at Como, and unless you have a membership or have paid grounds fees, we are not to use their facilities.  Next month’s meeting will be back in the restaurant which was in the process of being cleaned during this month’s meeting.

 

The club thanked Marion for hosting the July 4th party.  All who attended had a great time.

 

The August 14 scalloping trip was discussed.  We have enough people for two boats.  Claudia will be sending directions to the dock; all those who have paid for the trip should be ready to board by 7:15 am.  There is the possibility of another trip on August 21; contact Claudia if interested.

 

Ted D. had no updates regarding camping at Fort Desoto. 

 

The September 6 trip to the John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo was discussed.  Claudia is waiting to hear back from the owner of Rainbow Reef for pricing information.  She will send club members detailed information when she has it; members will make their own travel and sleeping arrangements. 

 

Claudia talked to the captain of the Miss Daisy for another boating trip in the Gulf.  The current pricing information is $450 for 3 hours; she will try to determine how much a 4 hour trip would cost.  The club set a date for October 11, 2008.

 

New Business

Frank and Claudia presented information on new club t-shirts and tank tops.  Bob made a motion that the club order new shirts with the club cost not to exceed $9 per shirt and a one time setup cost not to exceed $100; seconded by Jim.  All approved.  Frank will work with getting new screening templates and ordering shirts in various sizes, styles and colors. 

 

Discussion on future club trips included tubing/rafting on the Rainbow River and visiting Playa Linda Beach.

 

Adjournment:

Next meeting is September 3, 2008, in the Como Restaurant starting at 7:00.

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting around 8:00 by Marion; seconded by Sylvia. All approved.
